Heartsaver First Aid
This course is specially designed to train anyone who might respond to an emergency
in the workplace
or community and can be tailored to address the needs of a specific workplace or
group of employees.
Instruction covers basic first aid skills for medical and injury emergencies and
the optional environmental emergencies. It uses video-based instruction – the method
shown to best help students learn multiple psychomotor skills. This format enables
students to experience case-based scenarios in a realistic setting. The instructor
introduces a topic, then shows a video segment to present cases for discussion or
to demonstrate a particular skill. Students then practice the skill in small groups.
